Protagonista della piece performativa, è un personaggio immaginario in mutazione, dalle sembianze di un’eroina uscita da un film di fantascienza degli anni ’60 /’70, ricoperto di corazze e stratificazioni epiteliali dotate di vie sensoriali alternative, che sviluppa un’avversione per l’ambiente naturale e sociale. Questo stato confusionale lo condurrà a una crisi d’identità più profonda.

“La possibilità di rinascere dalle proprie fragilità…consegnandosi all’amore, che ti strappa la pelle”.
Una tensione opposta, determinata da desideri contrastanti, ha generato un cortocircuito della volontà:
< trovare una via d’uscita, come farebbe un insetto rimasto imprigionato fra le mura di un’abitazione, o lasciarsi andare alla paralisi della volontà e del libero arbitrio? >
Nelle situazioni più estreme, che modificano in qualche modo la nostra idea di progresso, inteso anche come passo, ritmo, mood, avviene che la nostra parte più istintiva prenda il sopravvento. Qualcuno preferisce non osservare – osservarsi, per timore di non riconoscersi, di subire il giudizio esterno, perdere i riferimenti che rappresentano la nostra comfort zone.
Taluni invece, vivono il travaglio della mutazione e del cambiamento che ne segue, senza compromessi, correndo anche il rischio di divenire voce fuori dal coro, quindi aliena. Ipnotizzante e positivamente angosciante, fa pensare all’incertezza del futuro della specie umana. Siamo arrivati ad un momento cruciale?
Diventeremo macchine, o vincerà la natura umana di chi non vuole arrendersi? Mentre mi dibatto fra queste polarità estreme, muto giorno dopo giorno la mia pelle in corazza ma divengo anche consapevole di perderla. Ricercando una rinnovata umanità.

An opposite tension, satisfied by conflicting desires, has generated a short-circuit of the will: to find a way out, as would an insect imprisoned within the walls of a house, or to let oneself go to the paralysis of the will and free will? In the most extreme situations, which in some way modify our idea of progress, also understood as pace, rhythm, mood, it happens that our most instinctive part takes over. Someone prefers not to observe – to observe oneself, for fear of not recognizing oneself, immediately the external judgment, losing the references that say our comfort zone. Some, on the other hand, experience the travail of mutation and the change that follows, without compromise, also running the risk of coming out of the chorus, alien. Mesmerizing and positively distressing, it suggests the uncertainty of the future of the human species. Have we arrived at a crucial moment? Will we become machines, or will the human nature of those who do not want to surrender win? As I struggle between these extreme polarities, I change my skin into armor day after day but I also become aware of losing it. Seeking a renewed humanity.

la 32sima edizione del festival Les Instants Vidéo ha sede a Marsiglia (Friche la Belle de Mai) e interviene sia in luoghi dedicati all’arte contemporanea che al cinema, ma non solo. Oltre alla Friche la Belle de Mai, saranno proposte proiezioni e mostre nelle Gallerie popolari ed effimere di SARA e ADPEI, nell’hotel Le Ryad e al Videodrome 2. Il festival sarà presente anche all’Ecole Supérieure d ‘ Art d’Aix-enProvence, presso l’ xBox Gallery di Milano e per un mese sul WEB TV (Visual Container). Concept The Modern Panic exhibitions are inspired by the work of the original Panic Movement, which was comprised of artists Alejandro Jodorowsky, Fernando Arrabal and Roland Topor, who created provocative live arts events in France during 1960s. The works intended aim was to slice through the bourgeois art world with the aim to be a catalyst towards liberation of thought within the viewer. Modern Panic follows in the footsteps of this movement and exhibits the new wave of panic artists.
Modern Panic, an annual exhibition of surreal, controversial and provocative art curated by Guerilla Zoo founder James Elphick, is reincarnated in 2018 for Modern Panic IX. Bringing together over 70 visual artists and live art practitioners offering a commentary on our chaotic contemporary world and the darker reaches of human nature with works that shock, disturb and confront.

In the context of FONLAD FESTIVAL it will be presented @ the Web Art Center “The Woman Body Selfie Experiment”, a virtual exhibition curated by José Vieira with curatorial text by Rrose Present.
My Nude Female Vision begins with a need: Searching for sensations and perceptions of self through the appropriation of one’s own body.
In my shots the nakedness appears contracted and implosed, turned and returned to an interior; it is not an expansion of a body that is displayed, but a revelation of a being and of what it hides. Of a mystical body, which encloses a clot of mystery. Self-portraying postponement of a fracture …
Indeed, today, more than ever, in a society that has dissected and subdivided the material dimension from the spiritual one, nudity has become an expression of a taxed and inculcated identity through devious patterns in which women are not recognized and increasingly refuse .
An “expropriated” identity, driven by the fullness of its integrity, of its role in the natural order of things.
So in my shots the search is just that of an original, untouched original – almost biblical – still in tension between purity and corruption.

Al festival di video poesia, organizzato dal centro per le arti sperimentali + The Institute [for Experimental Arts], saranno presentati al pubblico,
134 video artisti e poeti da 25 paesi, 5 performances, 21 live poets+3 djs, 4 concerti live, 2 video installazioni.
Very excited to be present for the second consecutive year, with my new video “L’Inventario”, at the 6th International Video Poetry Festival ATHENS 2018, which will take place at the Teatro Embros from 19th to 20th January 2018, in Athens, Greece.
At the video poetry festival, organized by the center for experimental arts + The Institute [for Experimental Arts], will be presented to the public,
134 video artists and poets from 25 countries, 5 performances, 21 live poets + 3 djs, 4 live concerts, 2 video installations.
Το ετήσιο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Βίντεο Ποίησης θα διεξαχθεί για έκτη φορά στην Αθήνα την Παρασκευή 19 και το Σάββατο 20/1/2018. Στο σύνολο τους, περισσότερα από 2500 άτομα παρακολούθησαν το φεστιβάλ τα προηγούμενα χρόνια.
Το διήμερο φεστιβάλ περιλαμβάνει προβολές 67 βιντεο-ποιημάτων, ένα είδος της video art με πολύ μεγάλη ανάπτυξη τα τελευταία χρόνια όπου σκηνοθέτες και video artists συνεργάζονται με ποιητές και λογοτέχνες ώστε να παράγουν οπτική ποίηση, video art, βίντεο κολάζ, animations και ποιήματα-ταινίες μικρού μήκους. Το ετήσιο International Video Poetry Festival της Αθήνας προβάλλοντας μια κινηματογραφική ποιητική γλώσσα εξαιρετικής ποιότητας από την Αμερική, την Ασία, την Ευρώπη, την Αυστραλία και την Αφρική έχει καταξιωθεί ανάμεσα στα σημαντικότερα φεστιβάλ του συγκεκριμένου είδους στον κόσμο.
Προσκεκλημένοι από διάφορες χώρες (Ιρλανδία, Ρωσία, Γερμανία, Μεγάλη Βρετανία) θα επισκεφθούν το φετινό φεστιβάλ για να παρουσιάσουν τα έργα τέχνης τους στο Θέατρο Εμπρός. Αναγνωρισμένοι καλλιτέχνες – ποιητές, video artists, performers, χορευτές, σκηνοθέτες, παραγωγοί και μουσικά σχήματα. Επίσης το φεστιβάλ περιλαμβάνει μια ολόκληρη μέρα παρουσίασης της εγχώριας νέας γενιάς ποιητών σε ζωντανούς αυτοσχεδιασμούς με video artists και μουσικούς, μια σειρά από performances, όπως επίσης μια έκθεση βιβλίου και δύο διήμερες βίντεο εγκαταστάσεις από την Ιρλανδική ομάδα Open Night Cinema και τον Κώστα Παπακώστα.
Το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Βίντεο Ποίησης 2017 επιχειρεί να δημιουργήσει έναν ανοιχτό δημόσιο χώρο για τη δημιουργική έκφραση όλων των τάσεων και των ρευμάτων της σύγχρονης οπτικής ποίησης.
Είναι πολύ σημαντικό να παρατηρήσετε ότι αυτό το φεστιβάλ είναι μέρος των ευρύτερων καλλιτεχνικών δραστηριοτήτων του Ινστιτούτου Πειραματικών Τεχνών, της συλλογικότητας Κενό Δίκτυο και του Ελεύθερου Αυτοδιαχειριζόμενου Θεάτρου Εμπρός. Μέρος του μη εμπορευματικού και μη κερδοσκοπικού χαρακτήρα του φεστιβάλ είναι η ανοιχτή δωρεάν είσοδος σε όλους. Το φεστιβάλ δεν έχει χορηγούς ή χρηματοδοτήσεις και θα καλύψει τα έξοδα ενοικίασης υψηλής ποιότητας τεχνικού εξοπλισμού, φιλοξενίας των καλλιτεχνών από το εξωτερικό και διαφήμισης από τα έσοδα του bar του φεστιβάλ και την ελεύθερη συνεισφορά των θεατών. Όλοι οι συμμετέχοντες καλλιτέχνες και οι οργανωτικές ομάδες θα συμμετέχουν εθελοντικά και αφιλοκερδώς στο φεστιβάλ.
Το Κενό Δίκτυο ξεκίνησε να διοργανώνει multi media βραδιές ποίησης το 1990. Το Ινστιτούτο Πειραματικών Τεχνών και το Κενό Δίκτυο θεωρούν ότι οι εκδηλώσεις ποίησης και βιντεοποίησης μπορούν να επιδρούν στην καρδιά της Μητρόπολης φέρνοντας νέα ακροατήρια σε επαφή με τη σύγχρονη ποίηση και ανοίγοντας νέες δημιουργικές διαστάσεις για αυτήν την αρχαία τέχνη. Για να το πετύχουμε αυτό, σεβόμαστε και ενδυναμώνουμε τις φιλοδοξίες και τους στόχους των καλλιτεχνών, δημιουργούμε υψηλής ποιότητας εκθεσιακούς χώρους παρουσίασης των εκδηλώσεων, διοργανώνουμε εκδηλώσεις στον δημόσιο χώρο, συνεργαζόμαστε με επαγγελματίες τεχνικούς και προσφέρουμε σημεία συνάντησης και πεδία έκφρασης για καλλιτέχνες και ανθρώπους που τείνουν να υπερβούν την μαζική κουλτούρα και την βιομηχανία της Τέχνης.
Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε τον Dave Bonta από το Moving Poems (http://movingpoems.org), ένα παγκόσμιο site παρουσίασης των σημαντικότερων βιντεοποιήματων της εποχής μας στο διαδίκτυο, ο οποίος με το έργο τους μας ενέπνευσε να δημιουργήσουμε το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Βίντεο Ποίησης στην Αθήνα και με τον οποίο συνεργαζόμαστε από το 2012 για να διαδώσουμε το Φεστιβάλ και να έρθουμε σε επαφή με τους καλλιτέχνες από όλο τον κόσμο.

SYNTETAGMENES Ομάδα Σφήνα ΣΥΝΤΑΓΕΣ ΑΥΤΟΚΤΟΝΙΑΣ Ζαχαρίας Στουφής SENSUAL LUMINA Πασχάλης Χατζητρύφωνας. Μαρία Στεφανίδου SENSUAL LUMINA είναι μηχανή. Δημιουργήθηκε για να προσφέρει διασκέδαση, απόλαυση, ικανοποίηση. Σχεδιάστηκε για να προσαρμόζεται στις εξατομικευμένες ανάγκες του κατόχου της, επιδεικνύοντας “έξυπνη”λειτουργικότητα και ικανότητα μάθησης κατά τη διάρκεια χρήσης της. Διαθέτει πέντε προγράμματα λειτουργιών, που εναλλάσσονται εύκολα χάρη στον εργονομικό σχεδιασμό της. Μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ατομικά από ένα χρήστη ή συλλογικά από ομάδα περισσότερων χρηστών. H performance χρησιμοποιεί το ένδυμα SensoLumina* ως μέσο για να αναφερθεί στην αντικειμενοποίηση των θυμάτων trafficking που μεταβάλλονται σε εργαλεία σεξουαλικής ικανοποίησης. Η έκπτωση από την ανθρώπινη υπόσταση οδηγεί σε εξίσωση με έξυπνα τεχνολογικά προϊόντα, σχεδιασμένα κατ’ εικόνα των χρηστών τους, που όμως δεν υπερβαίνουν το σκοπό της χρήσης τους.

He lives and works in London, UK Το Non Sequitur (σημ. ‘χωρίς λογικό ειρμό’) είναι ένα video installation που αφηγείται ένα οικογενειακό πορτρέτο μέσω διαδοχικών επαναλαμβανόμενων διαλόγων που προέρχονται από τηλεφωνικές συνομιλίες μεταξύ του καλλιτέχνη και των γονέων του, που ζουν σε διαφορετικές χώρες για περισσότερο απο 20 χρόνια. Κάθε σειρά βίντεο έχει καταγραφεί σε διαφορετικό χρόνο και χώρο πριν τοποθετηθεί το ένα δίπλα στο άλλο για να παράγει μια αναρίθμητη σειρά απρόβλεπτων και χωρίς ειρμό διαλόγων με τήν βοήθεια μίας βιντεογεννήτριας (video generator engine). Το Non Sequitur εξερευνά την δυναμική των οικογενιακών σχέσεων ενώ παράλληλα αμφισβητεί έννοιες της ανθρώπινης σύνδεσης μέσω της λεκτικής επικοινωνίας, αποκαλύπτοντας τόσο την ανεπάρκεια των λέξεων όσο και την βαθύτητα των τετριμμένων. ARTIST STATEMENT ‘Living abroad for the past 20 years, communication with my family has been limited to brief occasional telephone conversations. Over the years, these conversations have become an automatic sequence of short, repetitive sentences exchanged between us, which make us feel safe in their familiarity. And yet these dialogues, and the spaces between them, often convey thoughts and emotions that the distance hasn’t allowed to unravel, mature and resolve. Instead they repeat continuously, imprisoned in an infinite void of the machine that keeps them connected.’
ooOOOooo Open Night Cinema IRELAND in entrance Born in June 2015 Open Night Cinema is a live cinematic entity that lives, breathes and sleeps throughout the industrial landscapes of Dublin City, Ireland. ONC primarily feeds on improvised live art events blurring the lines between cinematic exhibitions, musical and theatrical performance and art installation. These events are intended to rupture and transform the space outside the projected frame, breathing new life into the cinematic experience.

Così come La mia arte (è) la mia vita, un’ unica – confusa – fragile – intensa – sconvolgente dis – umana calamità; le mie cicatrici mi ricordano che sono sopravvissuta alla mia “natura” al limite stesso del mio essere al mondo, etichettato fin dal suo primo vagito: “Nata viva.”
Nata – Viva, mentre tutto pre – annunciava la lotta titanica tra tenebre e luce che il destino mi avrebbe riservato.
Allora come oggi vivo e creo come se fossi nata e sopravvissuta attraverso questo inganno, morte dopo morte.
Come in ogni mio lavoro anche qui mi racconterò, attraverso le “trasformazioni” che le avverse vicissitudini hanno silentemente ed incessantemente determinato nel corso del tempo.
Per risparmiare alla lettura di questo lavoro ogni qual genere di fraintendimento avrò cura di anticipare che, attraverso i movimenti ed i gesti del mio corpo non parlo di ali o svolazzi di farfalle né di eterne gestazioni o di mute epiteliali. La superficie non mi interessa, Per me l’arte che imita la natura è un aneddoto che scade nell’obsoleto inganno.
Io non potrei… perché sarebbe tradire la natura “umana” e il senso del suo destino.
“L’origine del gesto negato” ha piani ed esiti altri.” È’ essa il seme che genera il frutto della contraddizione originale.
Così volare é un precipitare, comparire é sparire, muoversi é agitare il sommerso, strappare è lasciar affiorare ancora e ancora dal profondo le radici spezzate.
Le sequenze video scorrono nella cornice di uno spazio di presenza personale privato, in cui azioni mute e laceranti – come passaggi necessari o soglie di trasformazione – al limite dell’ esalazione – tentano di oltrepassare il limite della natura stessa del dolore. Debellarne come un morbo la sua “imperitura memoria.”
P.S. Mentre scrivevo del video, non avevo ancora ascoltato il pezzo graffiante di sottofondo che questa notte hai creato per me. Ora l’ho fatto…! <3

Posso udire lo strappo,
rabbia e amore, passione e pietà.
